It fuels the world around us. Cultures are shaped by the sound of music. Music is a universal love language. It heals, it celebrates and it brings so much to life. The Music Enthusiast is the most common music lover. You follow the latest releases, you are up to date on what’s hot and have a decent library built up. The music enthusiast has good taste that constantly rotates, based on how they feel. You might not know all the artists and songs at the top of your head but you’re always willing to learn because you love music enough to be open minded. The music enthusiast appreciates live music, they consider going to concerts only if the setting and price is right. The Music Enthusiast is in all of us, and the best part about it is it can only go up from here. 

2. Music Head 

The Music Head is the friend that plugs everyone with what’s new. They go to concerts when their favorite artist’s are in town, and they have an extensive library at their disposal. They love music in and out, at all times of the day. They got the new releases on deck, and can skim through and review a new album the moment it releases. More often than not, the Music Head has all the popular streaming apps including Spotify, Apple Music and SoundCloud, they comb through all the playlists and sprinkle in their own flavor to build their personal collection. The Music Head has an impeccable collection of new music and throwbacks because they’ve been doing it since they were young Music Enthusiasts. The Music Head goes to all the festivals large and small, as they appreciate live music enough to make an event out of it. (RIP all 2020 concerts)

3. Music Obsessive 

The Music Obsessive gives a whole new meaning to being a music lover. To the Music Obsessive, music is life. It’s their fuel. They eat, breathe, sleep, and dream music. I’m sure we all have known someone or encountered someone who is on top of their music game like as if they were being paid for it! Live concerts are their jam and they spend all their paycheck just to travel to the next big festival. Trips are circled around going to see The Music Obsessive favorite artists and performers. They can spend hours digging for music, curating playlists, reorganizing their library and even mixing the latest drops. Someone who is Music Obsessive has Spotify, Apple Music, Soundcloud, Mixcloud, Pandora in their arsenal. And I don’t mean they just downloaded the apps; they are also paid subscribers for each one! They even have Shazam on deck any time they hear a song they don’t know and can’t wait to get home to post it on social media! The Music Obsessive also has a burning desire to be the first to find new artists. They listen to every radio show and mix just to find somebody no of their friends have heard of. Once they’ve locked in on an up-and-comer, they feel a wild sense of pride and simultaneously a little bit of disgust when that artist begins to blow up in popularity.
